6 New Copy Machines - Frank Mealy

Hello, Monday there will be a delivery during the day of 6 copy machines in the district. They will replace 1 or 2 machines in your school. The idea is to put them in the area of the Highest traffic first and also to replace a older or trouble machine. Unfortunately we only have 4 larger machines (65 ppm) and 2 smaller machines (36 ppm) coming in this delivery. The purpose of these machines is to try another more heavy duty brand copier to see if it will reduce the service calls and downtime. The newer Toshiba devices seem to perform better in the low traffic areas with percent of service needed per click. The higher the usage actually increases the percentage of service calls per click. Comparing to a 8 year old higher quality Ricoh machines( High school office) still in district with over 1.6 millions copies on it with very few service call. The new brand we will be testing out is a Konica Minolta 654e and 367e. We are going to put them through the test of highest volume areas to see how the hold up so that when the contract expires for the toshibas we can choose a reliable replacement. Because these are on new lease we will still be keeping the machines they are replacing but shifting the old ones around into lower traffic areas. All the details of locations I will share with you on Monday while I am at your building. Because these are different model machines there will be a little getting familiar for you and staff. Plus I will have to configure them all and add them to the chrome print and windows based machines. That should be done by Monday evening after I get them installed There are several multiple other machines in the building so you may need to wait until Tuesday to be fully up and running.
